This has been bugging me forever. I've heard that sample in at least three different songs (FSOL's "Central Industrial", one track on the DHR sampler, and now again on a Barramundi sampler) but I can't figure out where it's from. Does anyone know?

It is also on the final track of em:t 0094, woob's "void" (which sounds somewhat fsol'ish in and of itself) On Sun, 22 March 1998, at 20:51:13, Danny Freer wrote:

The first place I heard it was on the rather excellent (at the time) track by Jim Clarke "Qualification".... -- Ben Coffer Hybrid Productions http://www.hybridgame.demon.co.uk/

I'll take a guess and say it was originally from George Lucas's THX-1138. Finally rented it last week. While watching the movie, I noticed something like every 2 minutes or so there was soundbite used later in tracks by Reload, FSOL, T Power, etc. etc. It was like the same feeling I got watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the first time, and hearing that sample "We are the music makers..." that Aphex Twin used on SAW I. BTW: From THX-1138.... comes the best soundbite in the world: If you are not properly sedated, call [number]. Failure to do so will result in prosecution for criminal drug evasion. Aaron
